COBA Business Seminar: "Exporting 101"

Alabama State University's College of Business Administration will hold an Exporting 101 seminar June 26, 2008, 8:00am in the Acadome Banquet Room, as part of the school's outreach program under a federal grant.

Scheduled speakers include George Clarke, vice president of the international department of First Commercial Bank; Benja­min Jones, regional interna­tional sales manager for FedEx Services; Hilda Lockhart, direc­tor of the Alabama Development Office's international trade division and Nelda Segarsa, director of the Birmingham Export As­sistance Center.

Alabama Automobile Manufacturers Association will help sponsor the conference.

Welcome BIE Evaluator to ASU

 

Students from the Korea Tour and the International Case Competition meet with Dr. Kelly Jett Murphrey. He is Director of the Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade in the Mays College and Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University. He frequently speaks and consults, nationally and internationally, on international trade, exporting, international business education, distance education, and electronic commerce. Dr. Murphrey is the external evaluator for our BIE grant.

The ASU College of Business Administration Selected to Attend 2008 Global Case Competition

 

The College of Business Administration is one of the 16 select invitees for the 2008 Global Case Competition that is annually organized by the University of Washington (Michael G. Foster School of Business).  Details of the competition are available at http://bschool.washington.edu/gbc/index.shtml.

The list of participating schools is available at http://bschool.washington.edu/gbc/schools.shtml. The 2008 competition includes 6 previous winners of the competition.

The faculty lead for this competition is Dr. Bob McNeal.
