Master of Accountancy degree program began in the 1998 Fall term.
The Accounting and Finance
Department of the College of Business Administration at Alabama State
University offers a Master of Accountancy Program that provides a
competitive advantage in today’s job market. Most states have mandated
that candidates complete 150 hours of college-level coursework to sit

graduates are prepared to pass certification examinations such as CPA,
CIA, or CMA, etc., enter middle management positions in accounting, and
pursue future study in terminal degree programs. ASU Master of
Accountancy graduates are employed by CPA firms, industrial
corporations, and government agencies.
Admission requirements include
a 2.75 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale);
satisfactory scores on the GMAT and TOEFL; three letters of
recommendation; and one-page statement describing career goals and work
experience. Financial assistance is available in the form of
grants-in-aid, loans, scholarships, student employment or a combination
thereof. Interested parties should contact the School of Graduate
